U.S. CUSTOMERS

We passionately believe that well designed accessories are every bit as important as the dress, and we know that the wrong accessories can destroy an outfit. For this reason, we always advise customers to think about and order their hair accessories well in advance of hair trials and dress fittings.

This is not only for our benefit, but actually gives you the opportunity to get the most out of your purchase. Jo will be able to give you more of her extensive design and styling experience if it’s not a rush order.

If you have an urgent order, please check with us before placing it. We’ll give you an honest assessment of whether it can be done. Don't worry, it usually can!

Here are a few tips to get you started...

Think about your hair accessories while choosing your dress, then once the dress is ordered, start researching ideas. Consider whether hairpins or a tiara would work best with your dress and hairstyle. Take your veil into consideration, if you’re having one.

Book your hair trial to take place at least two months before the wedding.

Avoid the cheaply made twisted wire hair accessories you find everywhere, in our experience they invariably ruin a carefully chosen outfit. Remember that any great outfit, even an inexpensive one, can be lifted to another level by a well designed accessory.

Think about your jewellery. If you’re considering wearing a pendant or necklace which is an heirloom piece, obviously this will have an impact on other accessories, so choose carefully.

Trust your instincts, and don’t overdo the decoration. For example, if you were thinking a show-stopping necklace would go perfectly with your dress, adding a dramatic tiara, however beautiful the piece, is probably going be too much. Something more delicate like matching hairpins that can be seen from the back might be a better choice. Sometimes less is more.

When ordering from us, please allow at least six to eight weeks before your hair trial so that you can take your pieces with you to the trial, and make sure it all works. This leaves plenty of time for changes or alterations. And remember, you’ll need to try everything on at a dress fitting as well.
